Day trip to Washington D.C.
Our friend and photographer Satomi Shirai was the feature artist of a group exhibit at the Arlington Arts Center, which brought us to DC. Despite the brutally cold weather and the worst hot chocolate I’ve ever had in my whole life, it was a full American day of dim sum in chinatown, Robert Frank at the National Portrait Gallery, 10+ Obama image sightings, Tex-Mex, and a souvenir metro card for Misaki (and yes, Obama’s picture made its way on that too).
